SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY
Taking it to the Streets
Through “Taking It to The treets,” we’ve essentially put a soup kitchen on wheels. Currently we pack sack lunches and search the surrounding community looking to take the food directly to those in need. When we find these individuals we not only feed them physically, but spiritually as well. Individuals who are willing to engage with us receive inspirational literature as well as lists of programs provided by us as well as programs provided by other groups in the area. Each individual is able to choose a program that would best fit their needs and situation. In efforts to keep in contact with these individuals we collect as much information from the individual as possible to keep a means of contact to ensure that they’ve received help as needed.
Feeding people Physically and Spiritually in the Lawndale and Garfield Park Community.
We always need volunteers, or just people that want to help with the planning of new out reach events or fundraising. Send us your info through the link below to start the process.
Through our community surveys we gauge the needs of specific communities we are called to help. We help to create and administer these surveys with church administration, community leaders, etc. Through our surveys we have been able to not only learn the needs of the community, but create specific programs targeting the communities needs.
Community Clean Up
One of the programs that the community survey has provided the information for us to create is the Community Clean Up. This program was created from the lawndale community survey, for the lawndale community. This program is very simple in its workings, all we do is find trash in the area, then pick it up.
